Tuesday Tunes – “Hunger Strike” by Temple of the Dog

This week, I’ve chosen a song from one of my favorite supergroups, Temple of the Dog. Formed in 1990 as a tribute to the late Andrew Wood, the group consisted of Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Jeff Ament, and Matt Cameron. Their only album, released in 1991, does a beautiful job of paying tribute to Wood, and you can feel and hear the raw emotion in every track. The lyrics in “Hunger Strike” have always stood out to me, and they tackle the themes of indulgence, wealth, and greed in an interesting way.
